BROWSER TECHNOLOGIES

Understanding cookies, session storage and your browser choices.

What cookies do

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser for a website. Related technologies, such as browser storage, can support similar functions. They help a website associate page requests with a session or remember a preference. Some information lasts only for a session; other information can remain until it expires or is cleared.

Service and preference functions

The storefront uses session and preference mechanisms to support browsing and ordering. These functions can include keeping a shopping cart associated with a visit, maintaining a signed-in session, remembering a currency or language selection and preserving a preferred product list view. Security and technical operation may also rely on session information.

Blocking these mechanisms can affect sign-in, the cart, preferences or other ordering functions. A browser setting that clears information when a window closes can cause preferences or a session to be lost when you return.

Optional analytics or advertising

Essential ordering functions are different from optional audience measurement or advertising. If optional tools are introduced, the information about those tools and the choices applicable to them must be provided. Where prior consent is required, optional technologies must not be activated before that consent. Simply continuing to browse does not replace a consent choice where one is required.

This policy does not describe a cookie banner or preference control as available unless one is actually displayed on the website. For questions about a particular technology encountered during your visit, send the page address and the browser information needed to investigate it.

Managing browser information

You can review, block or delete cookies and related site data through your browser's privacy or site-settings controls. Consult the help provided by your browser for the current instructions. Clearing cookies may sign you out and remove saved preferences. Separate browsers, devices and profiles can have separate settings, so a change on one device may not affect another.

Third-party websites opened through external links manage their own browser information. Their policies and controls apply when you use those services. A link to an external website does not make its cookies part of an essential order function on this platform.

Personal information and questions

Where cookie or session information relates to an identifiable person, the relevant privacy rules may apply. Read our Privacy Policy for information about service data, recipients and requests. Contact our team if you need clarification about browser technologies used for an order or a visit.
